eCore is a program of the University System of Georgia in which institutions collaborate to offer core courses to their students in an online setting.
- As a collaborative program, eCore courses include students from multiple institutions. Courses may be taught by instructors from any USG Institution.
eMajor is a partnership with University System of Georgia public institutions to provide quality, affordable, high-demand post-secondary degrees and credentials that address the workplace needs of Georgia and beyond.
- eMajor offers degree options in both collaborative and single institution settings.
- Collaborative programs include students from multiple affiliate institutions. Courses may be taught by instructors from any of the affiliate institutions.
- Single institution programs only include students from one institution. Courses in each program are taught by instructors from that institution.
- eCore: Students are required to take at least one (no more than 2) proctored exams for each eCore course. They can take the exam at a physical testing site or virtually through Proctor U. Students who fail to attempt at least one proctored exam will be assigned a grade of F for the course. For more information regarding proctored exams, click here.
- eMajor: eMajor students should consult their syllabus & professor regarding how tests will be administered. For more information on eMajor testing, click here.
Students must be admitted to a USG eCore/eMajor partner institution and must complete the Introduction Quiz before registering for a course. More information can be found on the eCore registration page and the eMajor registration page.
