Bethany Buck is an Instructional Designer who supports faculty and staff in developing, revising, and improving online curriculum for diverse stakeholders. She provides training and technical assistance with the learning management system and instructional technology tools, delivers high-quality course reviews, and creates, facilitates, and curates professional development opportunities for faculty and staff.
She is currently in the dissertation phase of a Doctor of Education in Leadership at Valdosta State University, with concentrations in Organizational Leadership, Curriculum Development, and Higher Education Administration. She also holds a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising, Marketing and Communication from Wesleyan College, with minors in Business and Finance.
Over the past five years, Bethany has designed dozens of courses across 12 disciplines including Accounting, Criminal Justice, Education, Mathematics, Psychology, and Veterinary Technology. She has delivered 40+ presentations and workshops at institutional, regional, national, and international venues on topics including AI integration and literacy, generative AI for faculty and students, instructional design strategies, infographic design for education, microlearning, and online course development. She leverages AI as an amplifier — sharpening her critical thinking, deepening her analysis, and elevating her communication. She believes in lifelong learning that balances foundational knowledge with innovation, where curiosity is valued over perfection.
