Marla Almaguer is the Associate Director of Academic Services for eCampus. She is the team lead for the part-time embedded librarians, English writing tutors, and STEM tutors. Marla received a B.A. in Literature and Language from UNC Asheville in 2013, and completed a M.L.I.S. from the ALA accredited UNC Greensboro in 2015. Marla creates and updates content on the library and writing center course homepage and assists online students live using chat, discussion boards, Bookings appointments, and email. Marla is responsible for collecting usage statistics and student satisfaction data. She presents this data and advocates for library and tutoring services to the eCampus faculty. Marla loves to teach and has been creating information literacy content for FreeCampus. Marla is currently a doctoral student at VSU for leadership with a concentration in higher education. Her free time is spent hiking and picnicking with her family and pets.
