Lou is a Senior Instructional Designer with the eMajor program. She holds a Master of Education in Instructional Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Management. Lou has experience working in a variety of roles, including Faculty Trainer, Online Instructor, Instructional Designer, and HelpDesk IT Support Manager. Lou recently transitioned to the USG eCampus team after working at Georgia Southern University for ~19 years with the last ten years as a faculty trainer for the Desire2Learn LMS, online instructor for the Teaching an Online Course and Quality Matters Improving Your Online Course. She also taught First-Year Experience (FYE) online courses to students with the theme of Horror Cinema for three years. Finally, the first part of her career at Georgia Southern was as a HelpDesk IT Support Manager in Auxiliary Services. In her spare time, Lou enjoys spending time with her daughter, walking and hanging out with friends, working out, white water rafting, zip-lining, snow skiing, hitting a few golf balls, bowling, dancing, watching movies, traveling, and listening to New Country and Classic Rock music. She also enjoys reading about new online teaching strategies, playing cards, and watching investigative tv and home improvement shows.
