Meet the Staff

Lana Kempton

eMajor Instructional Designer

Lana has joined our Extended Learning & USG eCampus team as an eMajor Instructional Designer on the Instructional Design and Development team. Lana received her M.Ed. in Instructional Design from the University of Georgia. She has experience working in a variety of roles in Higher Education, including Instructional Technology, LMS Administrator and Trainer, Student Success Specialist, Tutor and Manager of the Tutoring center. Lana recently transitioned to the USG eCampus team after departing from Middle Georgia State University, where she served as the Online Academic Program Coordinator for the School of Computing. In her spare time Lana enjoys traveling. Last fall, she traveled to Thailand, where she got to ride an elephant. Lana is a pilot and enjoys flying single engine land planes. When she's not in the air, she's on the ground hiking with her dogs, or in the water boating or SCUBA diving. For USG eCampus, Lana provides instructional design support for eMajor. She is responsible for development and revision support for USG faculty. Lana will oversee the quality of eCampus courses. She is specifically focusing on course updates, checking and maintaining links, and developing new materials, and serving as eCampus GoView administrator.
