Meet the Staff

Bridget Curren

Instructional Designer

I obtained my B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign. During my time there, I was an undergraduate research assistant in the WaterCAMPWS NSF-Funded Drinking Water Disinfection Laboratory where I conducted bench-scale analysis of disinfection by-products under Dr. Benito Marinas. I was also an undergraduate/graduate assistant in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering (under Dr. Luis Rodriguez) where I debugged Matlab software and wrote software protocol.

In 2018 I came to Georgia State University as a recipient of the Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship. I obtained my Master’s in Secondary Science Education from GSU under the Woodrow Wilson Fellowship, and taught science in Title I schools in the greater Atlanta area from 2019-2026 (with a one-year break to work as an Instructional Designer for SUNY Empire).

I obtained my Ed.S. in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University in 2021, where I took curriculum focused on web design, 21rst century teaching, LMS administration, and Professional Learning Communities.
