As a Georgia native, Austen completed almost a year of dual enrollment credit through eCore before heading off to the University of Alabama on a scholarship. After graduating magna cum laude three years later with a degree in communications, he began freelance work and expanding his foundation in media, web technologies, and creative writing. Presently, he is taking graduate courses in digital media with his research and projects focused on the user experience.
A state champion tennis player during his younger days, Austen still loves to get outside. His preferred escapes from cyberspace are snowboarding in Colorado, golfing, and practicing his passion for nature photography. For relaxation and inspiration, Austen enjoys practicing his left-handed guitar and writing music.
